Lord, on this Memorial Day weekend, we honor those men and women who died while serving in the United States military. Help us to never take their sacrifice for granted. We thank the Lord for the blessing of religious freedom as we live in a free and bountiful country. We seek your ongoing care for those who continue to serve our nation, securing peace for our citizenry. in our nation.  We pray that Christians will use this freedom to worship God and share the good news with others.

WELS Multi-Language Publications – Dear Lord, more than 2.9 million print items, audio and video resources, and online training resources have been produced to date in more than 52 languages—all through WELS Multi-Language Publications. Thank you for this blessing, which has assisted and enhanced outreach opportunities for so many churches, especially in places where our synod does not have resident missionaries. May those who work in this division of WELS World Missions continue to find strength and confidence in your promise that your Word does not return to you empty, but always accomplishes what you desire and achieves the purpose for which you sent it.

  • We celebrate, dear Savior, along with David and Krissy Awe, at the birth of their daughter Morgan this past Monday. We praise You for this new addition to their family. Keep Morgan in your care as they look forward her becoming a member of your family through baptism.
  • Lord, we ask that you would bless the new Callings into public ministry for Zach Semmann, who will serve his vicar year at Christ Lutheran in Zumbrota, MN; for Andrew Nemmers, who will serve a new mission start in Houston, Texas, and for Aaron Platzer as he and Emily will move to Loves Park, Illinois to serve at Peace Lutheran Church. Use their gifts and talents to spread the good news of salvation to many, some to learn of You for the first time and others to be strengthened in their faith.
  • Dear Lord, as You have called home to heaven “Bud” Grossman this past Sunday, we pray that You would grant comfort and strength to Marcia and all of Bud’s family and loved ones. Give them true peace in the truth that Bud now enjoys his new home in heaven where he will live with You forever. We rejoice that he no longer struggles and that he has now received his heavenly inheritance gifted to him through faith in Jesus our Savior.
  • We seek a special measure of your care and compassion for the Wagner family as Ronni’s mother, Judy Thiede, also was welcomed into your kingdom of glory, which you have prepared for her and all believers. Remind Judy’s husband, Ken, and their entire family that you have prepared a place for Judy, where she can now enjoy a new existence without pain, tears or sadness. Give them hope in the promise of the resurrection.
  • Dear Lord Jesus, surround Joe Phillips with your presence and love, drawing him close to You in his time of need as he was involved in a recent accident. Give him strength during this time of challenge and lead him to rely upon You for all his needs. Grant him a special measure of your care and blessing.
  • Two of Ellie Lembcke’s friends are experiencing difficult times. Lord, support Candy Taylor, who in the last couple days lost two special people in her life – her Aunt Eva, for whom she was a caretaker, and also a long-time friend who died of cancer. Also, please grant calm and trust in You to the family of Steve Last as they await the birth of a son who is known to have a significant heart defect. Help these families draw close to You in their time of need and receive strength from your promises for both body and soul.
