FOOD DONATIONS NEEDED!

The Kettle Moraine Lutheran Traveling Choir will be at Our Savior Lutheran Church on Sunday, November 24. Please consider contributing some items to help us feed the choir between services. You can find the sign-up sheet on the table in the back.

ADVENT BY CANDLELIGHT

Ladies, reserve the date, Sunday, December 15th to participate in the 4:30 pm Advent by Candlelight at Our Savior.    Sign-up sheets for attending, hosting or making a dish to share are on a table in the Narthex. Advent by Candlelight is an opportunity for women to set aside the hustle and bustle of holiday preparation and focus their minds and hearts on the birth of Christ.  Beautiful decorations and fellowship provide a delightful atmosphere for the ladies to enjoy music and devotional time by candlelight.  Please sign up by December 1st.  Please contact Alison Wolff  if you would like to help with the planning.

CHRISTMAS CAROLING

Join us for Christmas caroling on Sunday Dec. 8th at 5:00pm.  We will meet in the Church office building and head out.  Please indicate your plan to participate by signing the sheet in the narthex.  Please note that there will not be a chili meal this year.

CHRISTMAS TREE & CHURCH DECORATING

Will be held Sat., Dec. 7th starting at 11:30 am.  We need your help!  We all truly enjoy the beautiful decorations in church at Christmas time.  Please come and help decorate our worship facility to celebrate our Savior’s birth.

GRAFTON CHRISTMAS PARADE

Our Savior is again going to be participating in the Grafton Christmas Parade on Saturday, November 30th at 11:00 am. Please consider supporting this community outreach effort through your prayers, or by participating in walking with the Our Savior float.  This is an amazing way to get our name into the community and spread the Gospel message this Christmas season!  Hope to see you there.  Please contact Jenni Clausing at [email protected]  if you have any questions.

SENIOR ADULT BIBLE STUDY – Gospel of John

In our continuation of the study of John’s gospel, we will journey through the final weeks of Jesus’ life. John offers perhaps the clearest reason why the Holy Spirit has given us these inspired writings: “…these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (John 20:31).  We’ll apply our Savior’s teachings to our own lives throughout the study. The class is taught by Staff Minister Hering in the Church Office Classroom on Tuesdays at 10:30 am. This session runs now through November 26th.

ADULT BIBLE STUDY – Romans

A Bible study on Tuesday evenings  at 7:00 pm in the church office classroom which is located in the white building. We will meet from 7:00 – 8:30 each Tuesday evening.  Bring your point of view because you will be able to give it during our discussions.

CARIS TREE FOR SEMINARY STUDENTS

Our Savior is again participating in the Charis Tree for the Seminary Students and their children.  Seven local WELS churches have joined hands to provide gifts for each student and their family.  A Charis tree will be on display in the narthex by November 24th for our members to select a name, purchase a gift or gift certificate, and return the gift to the box provided by SUNDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2018.   We encourage all families who are able to participate in this expression of support and thanks directed towards the students!
