MAKE A FRESH START – January 8 – February 5
Adult Sunday Morning Study at 9:15am. I find it difficult to start over. Do you? Maybe I’m just too impatient and don’t like doing things twice, but my real problem is letting go of the past. Past failures, past attempts, unkind or hurtful words spoken by “helpful” people, past disappointments, past defeats. Actually the past can be one of our worst enemies w hen trying to make a fresh start. Instead of focusing on what was, let’s see what God’s Word has to say about what is. It’s a new year, so let’s learn together from Scripture how to make a clean break in our habits and relationships and go God’s way! Child care will be provided for ages 0-3. Sunday School is available for all other ages.
ADULT BIBLE STUDY – 1 Samuel
A Bible study on Tuesday evenings now meets at 7:00 pm in the classroom which is located near the copier room in the lower level school hallway. Come join u s as we look at the kings of Israel and discover the lessons we are to learn from their life stories. A participant says, “I realized how much value there is in sharing with the class and applying what we learned from on e another.” We meet from 7:00 – 8:30 each Tuesday evening. Bring your point of view because you will be able to give it during our discussions.
SENIOR ADULT BIBLE STUDY – Book of Ruth
In our study of the book of Ruth, we will see a wonderful story of selfless love; a reminder and encouragement of how we too can reflect love in response to God’s perfect love to us in Christ. This study will be taught by Staff Minister Hering in the Church Office Classroom. We will beg in a study of Galatians on February 7th and continue meeting into the spring.

MARRIAGE RETREAT
“There is no more lovely, friendly or charming relationship, communion or company, than a good marriage.” – Martin Luther. A weekend to keep the focus on just you and your spouse… It’s just what you need. Plan early to take care of conflicts with work, children, etc. Set the email aside, forget about everything that needs to be done at the house and focus on the most important earthly relationship you will ever have: the relationship between husband and wife. Most importantly, it’s a weekend to re-dedicate yourself to loving your spouse as Jesus loves us. A Godly marriage is a healthy marriage. These lessons are important for married couples as well as those planning to be married. It’s why we’ve opened it this year to engaged couples as well! It’s a packed weekend that even the guys will enjoy… we promise! Make your plans now to attend “With this ring…” March 3-5, 2017 : St. Mark Church : De Pere, WI! Go to http://www.withthisringretreat.com/ for more information and to register.
