From the Board of Stewardship

Christ’s death on the cross assures us of our salvation. Likewise, His resurrection assures us that we, too, will rise again. In 1 Corinthians 15:17 and 19, Paul writes,

“And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile . . . If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men.”

Certainly for the Christian, eternal life has begun already, and the passing from this life to the next is just a blip on the screen. In the confidence of such a sure hope, let us spend our time here in carrying on the work of Christ that the lost may be found and restored to their Savior.

From your Spiritual Growth Committee: Watch your church mailboxes on Confirmation weekend for the special resource entitled: SPIRITUAL GROWTH PLAN. The plan’s purpose is simple, yet most important, to help us focus on the most important things in life, especially on our relationship with Jesus!

SENIOR ADULT BIBLE STUDY – Book of Galatians.

In our study of the book of Galatians, we will see that the hope of our salvation lies in the pure gospel alone and not the law, that the gospel frees us from the demands of the law, and that the gospel provides the motivation to live lives of service to God and others. The class is taught by Staff Minister Hering in the Church Office Classroom on Tuesdays at 10:30 am, and will meet through the winter and into the spring. Please note that there is no bible study on 18th.
